Irish musician/composer Eoin McCann Announces Debut Album. Eoin McCann's highly anticipated debut album, 'Elliptical', a genre-defying instrumental collection was shaped over three years of writing, arranging, and refinement. Recorded in the mountains of northern Italy, the album draws inspiration from classical, jazz fusion, flamenco, and cinematic soundscapes—creating music that’s both technically immersive and emotionally expansive. McCann’s influences include Ennio Morricone, Pat Metheny, Paco de Lucía, Bill Frisell and the iconic releases associated with Blue Note Records and ECM records, all echoing through the album’s melodies, harmonies, and rhythmic drive. “From the first idea to the final recordings, I wanted every track to feel like a sonic journey,” said Eoin McCann. “The mountains of northern Italy gave the music space to breathe—and the influences kept it grounded in composition.
